The Wainwright Educational Trailer
Do you ever wonder about who we think of as heroes? So many people look up to actors, singers, and sports figures. This week I was able spend it with real heroes. Jasmine and I went to my father's naval ship reunion. The men who served on the USS Wainwright DLG/CG-28. These are gentlemen served our country from the early 1960's til the ship was decommissioned in 1993. She was a proud and battle tested ship who served her country proud, just like the family that she was named for. I would ask that all Americans would remember our veterans that served our country. Many of these sailors served during the Vietnam War and were not given the respect that they deserved for their duty when they came home.
Thank you so much to my Poppi, Cookie, Manny, Rob, Harry, JC, Hugh, Kenny, Dave, Captain Lockey, and the rest of the men of the USS Wainwright.
